Extra credit: find the hidden ad


If kids learn anything from the government’s new advertising awareness video game, Admongo, they will notice that Scholastic has taken advantage of the opportunity to market its own brand.
As this article in Slate points out, the poster for Admongo that helps students understand all the different forms advertising can take, has the Scholastic logo on the bottom right corner.
And Scholastic, as we know, has taken fire for jamming its book club flyers, distributed to kids in school, with toys and other non-literary junk. Here’s a list.
